Cold Thermogenesis water

My question about CT concerns stale water. I have a broken hot tub from busted pipes during a cold winter. I would like to plug the outlets and fill with the garden hose. My question is how often do I have to change the water or is there some way to prevent the water from growing algae. I know chlorine would normaly be used, but i would like to avoid that. Can I drain partially and refill every other day? I am curious what others do with a tub like Richard Nikoleys, Daily water change?

Thanks Kenzie, I think I'll just check out my local pool supply or Canadian Tire, They have everything.

at bioverse.com there are some algae control products. No idea if they work or not, or if they're even all that safe... But it's worth checking out!

i don't know, I have swam in plenty of ponds as a kid, but I'm sure it would get overgrown.

What's so bad about algae? Think of it like lying in a pond.
