Amazon.com suggestions (crockpot, paleo essentials, etc)

Hi all. I've just been sent an Amazon gift voucher for my birthday. Besides my usual book splurge, I thought I would invest in a crockpot. This is the one I've got my eye on: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009H2W2OO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1AFJESMA8SCN6

Seems like excellent value going by the reviews, no? Is there anything better people would suggest? And are there any other paleo-related products you would recommend on Amazon? Kitchen appliances, rare foodstuffs, beauty/hygiene products, what-have-you.

I am in Ireland.

Thanks in advance.

Crock pot is only good if you are going to use it often. Here is something I would get: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dining-Solutions-Direct-Haddock-Fillets/dp/B008U7U9NS/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1368283106&sr=1-1&keywords=wild+caught

A food processor that holds a decent amount of food (My black and decker holds about 6 cups); a large size nonstick skillet with lid; an egg poaching pan (can just get this at a walmart). A lot of people like dehydrators too but I've never had one myself.

Not sure how much you have to spend but here are kitchen stuff available on amazon.com I've bought (, presumably similar items are on amazon.co.uk):

  • manuka honey (..tastes awesome, good for digestive tract)

  • countertop convection oven (..far more convenient and energy efficient than a regular oven)

  • a Vitamix blender (..going with a Blendtec is just as good; expensive yet essential IMHO)

  • a KitchenAid stand mixer (..expensive, but I wind up using it most days)

  • ghee (..I cannot consume any other dairy)

Oh, and I buy most of my vitamins/supplements from amazon.com.
