Any paleo implications for inguinal hernia?

I got an inguinal hernia (a "guy thing"). Lifting weights sure doesn't help. I thought my recumbent bike was working miracles for a while - and I do mean a real bike, out on century rides on county roads, not a pitiful exercise machine in the spare room, y'know? But anyway, this hernia is getting worse now. I think my last bout with severe constipation really gave it some momentum. Hopefully that's the last constipation ever, now that I've sworn off cheese & dairy (is butter still okay?).

Anyway, should I keep my fingers crossed that the carnivore diet will help? Or should I slit my wrists?

And about the CoQ10 I'm taking for heart disease (I'm thinking to diet obsoletes it). If I understand correctly, CoQ10 makes your connective tissues more resilient, right? Would that exacerbate the weakness in my abdominal wall? Should I quit CoQ10?

No. You should add vitamin C megadose to that, to strengthen collagen and maybe even lyzin and prolin. All help heart disease and collagen synthesis. Search for Pauling therapy.

I also started using compression shorts like Nike pro and underarmor. Think it helps a bit by keeping everything nice and tight

If you really disrupted the tissue to the point of having a bulge then nothing will help but surgery. If its bothering you with adl's( activities of daily living) you can try counter pressure with a pad of something over top the area. And breath and use your legs with you lift!!

I also have the same type of hernia, I got it doing brazilian jiu-jitsu(injury common to that activity) . Although it never caused me pain or discomfort I first noticed it bulging out in the shower after a hard training session. The only way fix this is to go under the knife! Or live with it till it fully blows out(could be a bad scene). If you get the surgery I recommend getting the mesh put in to prevent future protrusion(if your a active dude). Mine seems like it got better( no bulging, reduced in size), but still requires surgery.
