Seriously how do you guys/gals that train hard recover on low carb ??

I've tried it numerous times and i just cant do it! i keep my calories the same as when i consumer carbs just making up the numbers with more fat and protein but my body just crashes if i dont not get mass amounts of carbs in me.

an example is after a stenous leg day, heavy squats etc... if i do not consume huge amounts of carbs in the coming days.... i cant sleep despite being tired, water retention/hormones thrown out of whack would be the best guess, muscle and or joint pain including lower back shoulders etc.. almost like a stress pain when uptight... a strange sore hunger in my stomach despite consuming the same calories that wont go away until i scoff a a carb full meal and tired/sore eyes, constipation for days etc...

the list could go on... dont get me wrong i try and try again to drop the carbs but anytime i overdo it in the gym unintended and try to recover on a low carb daily regime my body crashes.... im thinking it may be cortisol related.

i've tried ashgwandha but wasnt much help compared to scoffing down a large pizza.

anyone had similar issues and how did you overcome it without resorting to carbs ?
