probiotics destroyed in the heat?

i ordered a probiotic, ultimate flora 50 billion, on amazon but i got it and the bottle was literally warm to hot........were the probiotics destroyed because the heat..... i know generally probiotics are stored in the fridge so im wondering if they're dead since i haven't really noticed a difference in my constipation

Personally, I'd say it's probably not in optimal condition

Average human body temperature hovers around 98.6.

Unless you're heating the bacteria to 100+ degree temperature, they'll be fine. Otherwise, your own body would kill them off and the human body would have a self-suicidal immune system.
