Drinking too much alcohol is actually considered eating poorly. But eat right and give it some time. If you do drink, do it in moderation.

I used to suffer from the same thing, after some time I identified it as when I has some bad eating day, I would have problems with my stool, overdrying and basically converting into some sort of cork which stopped the rest from evacuating properly (this happend to a point I was considering going to the hospital) when laxatives didn't seem to work. Eventually the body had to get rid of it and this is when the problem actually came, I had my anus tissue ripped due to preassure and yes, blood and all that (not saying this is your case) but then I started goin several times a day for about a week till my body got rid of everything. Since then, last December I've mantined a high fiber from vegetable intake diet in order to avoid the cork effect in the future and I haven't had any problems since. This is from a guys who has suffered from constipation since a little boy. (it is all in the diet)

I don't think it had anything to do with eating poorly. It started immediately after having too much alcohol and vomiting a bunch on halloween. I normally don't drink at all, so it was almost an accident, but I didn't think it would mess up my digestive system like this.
