I smell a Corn Loving Conspiracy here- Tick causes meat allergy

This might totally be my paranoid personality kicking in (I thought getting rid of gluten was supposed to fix that) but it seems strange to me that this tick shows up out of no where. Monsanto trying to kill us off? USDA trying to shut us up? Vegan's getting in the last laugh?

Lots of immune response is due to cell-surface carbohydrates. Think blood group antigens.

Figures that some researchers think the immune response is carb-related, though. Carbs, always messing things up!

I can honestly say that my boss has this. He is a very Redneck-meat & potatoes-avid hunter kind of guy who within the last 6 months has developed a SEVERE allergy to red meat. I will add that he frequently gets bit by ticks.
