my chest is really tight right now and congested (no nasal congestion which strikes me as odd?)

are there any good paleo recipes/tips to help loosen me up and improve breathing?

i know bone broth and spicey foods, but any recipes in particular?

i cannot have honey, i have IR.

thank you!!

Can you recommend a specific brand of wild oregano oil?

I am also IR, but a teaspoon of honey doesn't bother me.

If you can't handle the funkiness of it, add a little honey.

wild oregano oil is good for this. the higher the carvacrol the better .

Also you can inhale steam from a bowl that has boiling water and essential oils of: tea tree oil, peppermint, eucalyptus (i combine all 3).

food wise id say something hot and spicy. a realy hot curry will always ease congestion and get things "Flowing" for me..

be well :)

edit: I forgot to mention a rub of high grade black seed oil will do well on the chest.

also with tea tree oil, check for terpinen-4-ol. i think mine has just under 37%

Pharmaceutical Grade: 3% or less Cineole; 37% or more Terpinen-4-ol
Cosmetic Grade: 5% or less Cineole; 35% or more Terpinen-4-ol
Technical Grade: 10% or less Cineole; 30% or more Terpinen-4-ol

Great suggestions already; I also find mullein tea really helpful.

Fennel tea

Also, turmeric is great for inflammation anywhere in the body. You can mix it with tea, or I will sometimes just even take a scant half teaspoon and mix it without about 6-8 oz water, and drink that.

I make ginger garlic tea by steeping sliced ginger and garlic in hot water. I rub eucalyptus and peppermint oils on my sinuses, neck, and chest so I breathe in the vapors. Works wonders!
