I've read several wonderful posts on this site and have learned many of the foods that should probably not be eaten. I'd like to know in broad strokes what can be eaten. I'm particulary confused about vegetables... how many grams daily would be considered a "low fiber" diet, and are there particular veggies that should not be consumed? I'm thinking corn and cabbage would be amongst those. My mother is taking Asacol 800mg three times daily, which can take up to eight weeks to have an effect. This drug is primarily used for Ulcerative Colitis... may I assume it's effective for CC too?
