I have not understood the appeal of that coffee. I ordered it, brewed a couple of pots, and gave the rest away. To us it tasted like one of those grain-based alternatives for coffee. I couldn't finish a cup, though I tried twice just in case.

No thanks. Cat poop first thing in the morning isn't appealing.

I've had that. To be honest, it was good, but it just tasted like coffee, nothing special. About the same difference in taste as you might get from one roast or brand to another.

I'd buy bulletproof coffee from upgradedself.com

I don't work for or am in any way affiliated with the brand, simply a satisfied customer. Their delivery times were sketchy there for a while, but that was only due to a jolt in demand. I've used this coffee for about the past 2 months, and have never looked back. I make bulletproof coffee with it -- mct oil, grassfed butter, sweatleaf stevia, and it's delicious!

I'd either train a pig or buy-off scientists to genetically modify a pig that can produce caffeine-containing bacon. Problems would cease to exist and utopia would evolve.

Money's not an issue, because I buy green beans from Sweet Maria's & roast them in my oven. Single estate, wet-processed. Just like 'upgraded' but cheaper. And it makes my house smell amazing. Always.

Probably 100% Kona from Mountain Thunder. I went to the planation when I was in Hawaii last and they were serving the Private Reserve there, it was pretty amazing.

I love the taste of Upgraded Coffee from the Bullet Proof folks, but it won't play nice in my automatic grinder. (One of those that grinds the beans directly into the basket at brew time.) For my money Peet's or Tully's are just fine.

Some good carefully selected Kenyan or Ethiopian coffee. Relatively lightly roasted to bring out all those amazing fruity aromas.

I really do enjoy a good Kona coffee, but one of my favorites and not too expensive unless you're nowhere near a Trader Joe's is New Mexico Piñon Coffee.

As far as really expensive ones? No idea. If I'm a coffee foodie, it's because I really dislike terrible coffee. If it's a decent roast, a decent brew and full of coconut oil, I'm a happy caveman.

I buy Las Chicas del Cafe. it's organic fair trade, and it tastes like caffeinated heaven. I can drink the breakfast blend black, but I like the Espresso with coconut milk and a smidge of honey...don't judge. It's not everyday.

Storyville is my holy grail coffee. http://www.storyville.com/ But I often just pick up a bag of Peet's when I'm grocery shopping because it's close to half the price.

I'd go for an organic single estate Kona. If not I'll stick to Ruta Maya. I don't think you need to go insanely expensive to get good coffee.

Find a good quality coffee you like, and stick to it.

My favorite expensive coffee from a store, is single origin espresso from Blue Bottle Coffee Company. If you can find them, have one. Truly amazing, and beats the pants off that other "two stores on every block" coffee company from Seattle.

Money isn't an issue for me, so my morning brew is an organic espresso roast, drip brewed, with local organic pastured heavy cream.
