coffee creamer substitution

Unfortunately, I cannot stomach black coffee. Does anyone have suggestions on what would be the least harmful type of creamer, full fat cream or soy milk? Thanks! Also, is this detrimental to the 30 day challenge?

As others have said heavy whipping cream (organic if you choose, me, nah, conventional works, lol). I personally don't have any negative affects from using HWC (digestive or otherwise). On a side note, I actually like black coffee and plain Americanos since changing my diet (roughly beginning of year). Guess I like the taste (weird, I know, lol).

Heavy whipping cream (organic if you choose, me, nah, lol). Paleo or not it's good and doesn't negatively affect me (weight of digestive wise). On a side note, I find I actually like black coffee and plain Americanos since changing up my diet (roughly beginning of the year). Like the taste now I suppose (much like folks like plain tea, who knows, weird, lol).

thanks so much for that link. I tried egg whites or just coconut oil to mimic whipped cream for my daughter who doesn't tolerate dairy. This recipe sounds wonderful. Can it freeze? I guess it will only last 3 days in the fridge ????

Alright since everyone else is answering, but nobody has said it yet:

STAY AWAY FROM SOY. You've been brainwashed by vegans into thinking it's a healthful substitute. It's not. Get your read on, pretty much all the Paleo literature talks about the evils of soy.

I use heavy whipping cream. I'm not sure there's much point in going raw with it, since once you pour it into a hot cup of coffee, is it really raw anymore? More important to make sure it comes from happy cows, but I don't sweat it if that's not doable.

I agree with the organo gold. I drink the black coffee. Its non acidic, and is infused with an ancient Chinese herb/mushroom called ganoderma. I get it from gottagetcoffee.com. and yes, HWC or coconut cream/milk is good! :)

Black coffee is the way to go, but if you need to use something canned coconut milk is best. It's the cleanest, all the stuff out of a box has extra things in it that aren't really that paleo. That being said, HWC works for lots of people and if I was making something that needed cream I would use one of those two options.

Unsweetened, Vanilla flavored Almond Milk is the way to go.

Coconut milk or almond milk for the full dairy-free effect.

After that, experiment with heavy cream. I still don't tolerate that well, so I'm back to coconut milk. Mmmm...

I was in the same boat. I can't handle normal black coffee, and I don't want to do dairy. I recommend a chicory/coffee blend like Cafe Du Monde:

http://www.amazon.com/Caf%C3%A9-Du-Monde-Cafe/dp/B0002LDAHC/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1304090834&sr=1-1

The chicory really cuts the acidity and keeps the coffee from tearing up the stomach :-)

Try good espresso? Less acidic and more fatty. And more taste!
