Whenever people recommend fermented cod liver oil, they always refer to the Green Pastures brand. While I do think fermented cod liver oil is the way to go, I am highly skeptical of this brand for a number of reasons. Not only did I notice NO health differences over regular CLO, but this company seems to have a monopoly as I can't seem to find ANY other brand that sells fermented CLO. That alone makes me raise an eyebrow. Second, it is extremely expensive at $44 a bottle! And it tastes horrible, literally as if it is rancid. I can't imagine our paleolithic ancestors craving something so yucky.
Does somebody know of a brand OTHER than Green Pastures that sells traditionally fermented CLO?

Solgar sells fermented cod liver oil. I personally take the Super Cod Liver Oil complex which costs €18,50 for 60 capsules. As far as I know it is an american brand.

Just because something is good for you it doesn't mean that fermenting it makes it exponentially better. Sounds like somebody had a batch of CLO that went bad and instead of tossing it out they stuck labels on the bottles and sold it. Hell no, I would'nt touch the stuff.
