I am just thinking of when I get a cup of coffee on the road etc and there is no coconut milk available. I usually get tea instead but sometimes you just want your coffee!!

I looked online and a lot of these powdered coconut milk have milk derivates.... does anyone know where to get pur powdered coconut milk? Is there such a think?

No it doesn't, though I don't know if it would be good in coffee.

"http://www.amazon.com/Coconut-Milk-Powder-1-Lb/dp/B00821LQSE A trace of casein... annoying. I can't seem to find any online either that don't have this. Perhaps the ones I saw int he store also had this and I didn't notice.. I ended up getting the brick of creamed coconut. Anyway as much as I love a creamy coffee, it is so much simpler to man up and drink it black, rather than 'cheating' with cream (I may be dairy sensitive also) and canned milk containing thickeners and preservatives and BPA fromt he can and who knows what. Sigh.

yea i saw it in my local health food store. was thinking it would be good to make coconut milk chocolate, in place of the powdered milk found in regular milk chocolate.

I have this kind, and used it this morning in my coffee because I was out of my usual. It claims to have less 'stuff' in it than the other varieties.

Yes, Asian grocers carry this. As far as I can recall, it was no worse than the canned stuff, depending on brand, for stabilizers, additives, etc.
