Must be a personal thing. VitaCoco's plain, 100% coconut water has become a staple in my diet. It's delicious, refreshing, and has a huge nutritional bang for your caloric buck. Like 3% of daily calories with 7% total nutritional needs (mostly from otherwise hard-to-get minerals - about 12% avg mineral requirements met!).

I can go through 8-24 ounces a day easily.

A 12 oz can of Coke has 39 grams of sugar ~140 calories. Looks the coco water w/ pineapple puree is about 20% of sugar / calories. Pretty moderate as long as you're not chugging it by the case.

just one question. how do you find vita coco drinkable? i've tried all the flavors just for the hell of it and every one tastes like cat piss. i honestly don't know how they stay in business selling that crap.

A simple / easy check (not always 100% correct but usually correct)...if what you're planning on eating or drinking has a LOT of calories from sugar....probably not paleo.

Compare what you're contemplating consuming to full leaded coke.... match serving sizes, adjust for marketing based small serving sizes. If the sugar calories are in the same ballpark...not paleo.

Good example...apple or grape juice or Gatorade

Any coconut water is paleo. But if you mix it with fruit juice, it's gonna be the same as juice - high in sugar. Once in a while, ok, all the time, it's nearly as bad as soda, sugar wise.
