How do I change my period date?

I have an important exam coming up next month and would like it to not coincide with any of the days of my period. My periods have been better since becoming paleo, but still unpleasant and I'm afraid that would get in the way of my concentration. Question: how can I change my period dates naturally or through diet?

Once a doctor prescribed hormones so that I would get my period a couple of weeks before my vacations. That was the only way I could enjoy a week at some springwater resort that year. But now I'm not willing to take hormones again.

I think I had something like it happen naturally once, when I was trying an anti-candida diet, and I suspect that having 2 tbsps of coconut oil daily was responsible for my period date (and amount) changing at the time. So I'm already thinking of increasing my consumption of coconut oil again, but thought of first hearing any knowledge from others too. I'm willing to try more than one thing.

I hadn't thought of that! I guess it would be worse than lacking concentration, LOL

I prefer avoiding hormones, but if small amounts would be enough to delay it, then that's worth looking into. Thanks!

Heck. Maybe try it again and see what happens. It won't hurt you...I would be careful you don't take in so much coconut oil that you are running to the bathroom though!

I'm very regular (only a few days early or late), so I do suspect something different happened at that time. At the time I was vegan and now wonder if suddenly having a lot of saturated fat affected my hormones somehow. But even if that was the case, I'm not vegan anymore, so it probably won't work anyway. :(

Join a sorority whose periods coincide with the dates you would like yours to be on.

you can also use progesterone cream to delay it - use the bio identical version instead of the one extracted from yams

I would say the coconut oil effect was a correlation. You can only do this with hormones--which will probably distract you more.
