does this sound healthy: coconut oil, frozen blueberries, cashews mashed up, truvia?

I only tried this last night -- a bunch of frozen blueberries, coconut oil (while it's still solid - white and opaque, not liquid form), cashews. I put truvia on there too which I know some people are against. All mixed up in a bowl. It was absolutely delicious (i could see a danger in wanting to overeat it). Ater eating it, I had tons of energy (I'm assuming because of the coconut oil and blueberries) and walked a few miles. Not sure if that was a coincidence or if I should do it again....

obviously Ratio- doesn't eat coconut right out of the jar. This is a typical response to eating the oil.

I used to have a macadamia tree in my back yard. Dropped nuts everywhere, gosh they are delicious green. I can't understand why they are so expensive, our tree took no effort at all and thrived.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes fruits and nuts are famous here for making people stall. Oh how I wish that weren't true! Now that I'm exercising I'm craving carbs. Thx for the reminder though!

No kidding. The market seems to be dominated by one company, which probably has something to do with it. Inorganic seems to run about $20/lb and organic about $30/lb.

Mark Sisson has a recipe for "protein balls" consisting of dates, macademia nuts, walnuts, blueberries, coconut oil, and shredded coconut. These things are delicious. No Truvia necessary.

Toasted coconut for the taste or is it healthier? Sounds yummy! No adverse to cashews as far as I know! But I know almonds and macadamia are healthier. Man, macadamia nuts are expensive!! Woop! Thx for the advice ;) I hope this stuff doesnt make me fat.

You know, I went to get Stevia at Trader JOe's the other day. The big bottle and little bottle looked identical. I bought the big one.v Then I got home and saw that the big one has Lactose in it! After I finish this thing of Truvia, I'll get Stevia :) I've read it lowers blood sugar! Thx

i would have chosen toasted coconut or a mix of walnut/almond/macadamia instead of the cashews; i don't tolerate them. any adverse effects?

all but the truvia part - get green stevia. Truvia is super processed, read this to learn. I think it is fine to have as a snack here and there

Coconut butter instead of coconut oil and you won't need the Truvia ...

It sounds delicious! I've read on paleohacks that combining fats + carbs with little protein might not be conducive to weight loss. Not sure what your goals are, just a heads up.
