If you do choose to go with almond milk, Silk Vanilla *taste** the best, I've tried several different ones and this one tasted the best too me.

Whichever you like, really. I drink one glass of coconut milk with my morning breakfast- I like silk's the best. Just drink it in moderation; one cup has 80 calories!

How much milk are you planning on drinking and what are you using it for? It is typically best not to drink your calories, but I don't think there is anything wrong with using either coconut or almond milk for coffee, baking, etc. I prefer the taste of coconut milk. Coconut milk is high in saturated fat, but that doesn't mean it's a bad choice for weight loss. I believe it is higher in calcium than almond milk. If you are drinking a lot of almond milk, you have to consider the omega 3:omega 6 ratio, as nuts are higher in omega 6s. As far as brands, I can't recommend any of the popular brands because most coconut and almond milks that are found in cartons have additives and preservatives in them. I follow a strict version of Paleo, so I buy canned coconut milk that only has coconut in it. The brand is Natural Value and you can order it on Amazon. Trader Joe's has a low fat canned coconut milk version that I also like.
