why would my LDL be so low?

My numbers:

Total Chol: 160 Trig: 46 HDL: 79 LDL: 72

It seems like everyone on here has LDL of at least a hundred and even then, people are commenting that it seems on the low end. I can't figure out why mine is so low... I eat a lot fat. I try for 40/30/30 but my fat is usually higher and protein is lower.

For breakfast every day, I eat 1/3 lb ground beef with potatoes, broccoli, and a little butter. For lunch I eat whatever I am craving... some examples would be veggies with humus or rice and pork with veggies. Dinner is usually a salad loaded with veggies and eggs or something like steak or seafood and veggies. If I am hungry for snacks then I will eat fruit or greek yogurt but I haven't really been in a fruit mood lately.

Is a LDL this low worrisome or do you think its a good thing? Anyone know why is would be so low? 22 year old female, 5'8, 125 lbs, very active.

Few of things.

First, your LDL is not "too low" traditionally "healthy" LDL is less than 130 mg/dL

Second, the reason you see such high LDL numbers on here is that people post their cholesterol numbers if they think they have a problem. People who do not have a problem (like me) do not post their numbers. Mine are TC: 185; HDL: 79; TG: 41: LDL (Measured): 94.

Third, your LDL is a estimated LDL not a measured LDL.

Finally, some research is showing that ratios are important. Your raios : TC/HDL 2.02 (optimal less than 3.5); Trig/HDL .58 (optimal less than 2) : are in excellent shape.

Is it worrisome? No. Not in the least.

The answer to most of the questions here is bacon. I think you are not consuming enough.
