Please Hack My Latest Blood Test

Answered on August 19, 2014

The first column is from last May and those results triggered my search for a new diet. I was on weight watchers at the time. I'm pretty strict with the diet but I do eat carbs (fruit and potatoes mainly). I have also experimented a bit with carb backloading.

Since the test last May I've dropped 50lbs and I'm now 6'4" and at 185lbs (35 years old). I feel awesome, I sleep awesome and I'm kicking ass more thoroughly at the gym than I ever have.

I'll add that I occasionally get a high systolic number with my BP. Usually around 140 while my diastolic stays around 80.

With all of that in mind my results look pretty similar to the SAD diet/weight watchers results. It's just a little odd.

FCLO has an A:D ratio of about 10:1. It may be advisable to bring that down to 5:1, or so goes the current thinking. Something to keep in mind. Most dairy is probably 1:1.

I eat dairy and I take fermented cod liver oil at least 4 times per week.

I think it looks great. Don't worry about cholesterol too much, it's controversial. Too bad you didn't measure for D3 though, because even if everything else is fine, D3 should be rather high too to get a good immune response. Do you eat dairy btw?

I'm not sure why you would be at all bothered by the results. You lowered TGs and increased HDL and are at a healthy weight. Your LDL is actually 135 using the Iranian calculation btw.
