Hi to everyone
I had a medical check about a 2 weeks ago and the doctor wasnt very pleased. My blood pressure was 160 over 85, my cholesterol from a previous blood test that had come in was 7.4
He also said that i was starting to develop fatty liver. His main advice was to lose a minimum of 10kgs, and that a loss of 15kgs would reverse my high blood pressure and also my high cholesterol levels.
My question is, is paleo safe when you have fatty liver? does it lower blood pressure? and does it lower cholesterol?
Any advice is much appreciated

Adopt the Paleo diet, specifically drop all grains and sugars for at least 30 days, and eat a high-protein, zero-carb breakfast every morning.
Some advocate 30g of protein within 30 minutes of waking up each morning. That is the equivalent of 5 eggs so is probably only possible with a protein shake. I never did this, and found that 2 eggs and a cup of coffee every day was effective. But you might try that too.
Take up brief, intense, strength-based exercise such as kettlebell swings or body weight exercises (squats, etc). Do it very intensely for 15-30 minutes 3-5 times per week. Forget about running, biking, and any other cardio exercise.
This in a nutshell is what I did and I lost 25 pounds and over 6 inches off of my waist. I also lost a long list of minor health problems such as GERD, skin conditions, aches and pains, etc.
Start it and stick with it for at least 4 weeks. You will probably find quick and immediate results and you'll feel better than you have in years.

Paleo is a great template and starting point to address all the issues you've mentioned. The best advice I can give you is to read a few Paleo books. Start with Perfect Health Diet.

Yes Paleo is safe, and it should work very well to treat your various issues. Paleo is far safer than any other way to go. I would recommend you keep fruit to a minimum if you have fatty liver, as excess fructose consumption can be a large part of the cause. Making good food choices and staying on the lower carb side of things (about 100g/day) will take care of your high cholesterol and blood pressure. I wouldn't recommend ketosis but definitely keep carbs low to ease stress on your liver (I don't count green vegetables as carbs).
