Can this tell you what cholesterol levels are ideal/desirable?

It's certainly part of the discussion.

I don't know what the hell to think anymore. I jumped away from a vegan diet to this way of eating a couple of years ago. Back when I was on the vegan bandwagon, I was consistently at between 165 and 175 for my total cholesterol level.

Nowadays, I feel much better and all that, but my total cholesterol is all over the map. Granted, I'm only getting the total cholesterol results that come from when I give blood every two months, but I always fast for 16 to 18 hours before I give the blood.

My TC in January was 240. My TC in November was 311. Two months before then, I was at 258. It jumps 30+ with almost every test.

I don't know what the hell to think anymore.
