Righteously Raw Maca Truffle bar is so good I want to smash it right into my face

Anyway, I've never been a "chocolate is better than sex" gal. And I'm still not. Sweet chocolate has been just "OK" to me for a long time. Is it my tastebuds resetting or something? I intended to have a piece, but ate the whole bar. No guilt...just surprise. Ha! Somebody tell me the benefits of chocolate and/or maca in your experience please so I can feel obligated to make this at least a weekly thing.

Yeah but it's hard to get chocolate out of the sheets.

Way late comment, but that title made me laugh out loud "smash it right into my face," love that.

Thanks for the suggestion, yeah, it's the malty flavor...and it's...grainy? I may have dreams about it.

Well heck Heather, maybe you could find a recipe of your own? Substitute Stevia for the sweetness? Maca has such a nice, malty flavor, I'd imagine it is wonderful with chocolate, especially good dark chocolate. If you want something truly amazing, try Trader Joe's dark chocolate covered blueberries. Wow!

I was just reading about the hormones re: maca. That's interesting about the longevity...I'm just happy to have a pleasurable reaction to something and I think maybe it's from not cramming junk in my mouth mindlessly while driving around. Still, lotta carbs in that one compared to what I've been having... been keeping them verylow. It really might be too tasty to have 1/2 a bar.

Maca is supposed to be good for optimizing hormones. Chocolate is full of antioxidants. I read an article about three people aging from 118 to 121 and the one thing all 3 had in common? A chocolate addiction which ranged from daily to couple times weekly eating of chocolate. Who knows?

While the benefits of chocolate are debated, sex is clearly shown to be beneficial. You know what to do.

those things are like crack, they are oddly delicious and make me so super hyper its ridiculous! I am not sure if it holds true for everyone but maca is supposed to be good for boosting hormones, and chocolate is definitely a serotonin stimulant, has plenty of iron and magnesium, and luckily those bars are pretty low carb and are sweetened with chopped up dates or raisins, which is much better then refined sugar or sweetners. I would say once a week is fine, IF you can stick to only once a wee. hopefully the price helps prevent overeating, they definitely aren't inexpensive.

I personally don't see what's wrong with a little chocolate AND sex...
