Chocolate and mental fogginess

I've been doing caffeine free for two months and I have finally felt like my mental problems are recovering. However, last night, I had an entire pint of chocolate coconut ice cream and all of today and tonight I felt like I have seriously backtracked! It's made me unsatisfied, uncomfortable, moody, and generally foggy. Any confirmation from other people of this?

That much sugar will do it to me. If you wish to narrow it down, recover from this and do a retest with vanilla.

I would be looking at the sugar as a more likely culprit.

An entire pint of any kind of ice cream (even coconut) is likely to throw you for a loop.

You could also try eating some pure chocolate (like a baker's bar, or unsweetened cocoa) if you want to verify your response independent of sugar and other ingredients.

How does coffee affect "mental problems"?
