Processed Chicken Slices

I have some chicken slices and had some questions about the same

  • Are these healthy?
  • I know this is processed food; however are they even close to cooking and eating fresh chicken meat?

I guess the sodium is surely a red flag. What i do is usually end up eating a whole lot of these instead of cooking myself. Just wanted some feedback about the same.

Oh, that's Applegate Farms right? Why not get the roast beef instead? Less omega-6 and I think less sodium/additives. I sometimes rely on it if I'm super busy. Hey, it's not perfect, but it's better than ordering takout when I have a huge project to finish.

As an occasional snack, I wouldn't worry about it except I'd have to slather some room-temp butter on them if it were me.

Otherwise, honestly this is about the least nutritious part of the chicken. Three times as much protein as fat. Most of the time, you want gristle, skin, bones for broth, giblets, etc.--the "eat the whole bird" approach.

But if your overall nutrition is good, with offsetting fat, you could just go for it and not worry.

Yes, and as close as your going to get unless you find a butcher that gets local chickens from organic family farms. At least Pfizer pulled the Arsenic chicken feed off the market back in what? June of last year I think.
