Can't bring myself to cheat

Not that I want to, but ever since I got back from a 4 month trip abroad I meant to go eat a big juicy burger from Five Guys, bury my nose in donuts and cheesecake. But for some reason, I just can't bring myself to do it.

Is this a normal habit from eating paleo for so long and just being educated on what the enriched wheat flour and sugar will do to me?

Most baked goods, breads, and packaged food just looks fake now.

haha ok, maybe just a little but Im just hoping to re-enforce a belief in myself so that I can continue to be strong in the face of returning to the SAD diet environment as well as help my mom and dad make the transition, which has been quite a struggle. I just keep leading by example.

You know what doesn't look fake? The triple baconator from Wendy's.

Oh no, you don't want to eat fake food anymore. That's terrible, I guess you're stuck with high quality nutrient dense food.

Seriously, that's where you want to be. I haves "cheated" (boy do I hate that term) in 5 years, and have no desire to. My food is fuel and I don't like to play emotional games about food.

Is continuing to do paleo a normal habit for people doing paleo? ummm, how is this a real question? Bread and donuts look fake to me too, as is the case with most people here, I assume. Go with it man. (Personally I think you're just bragging that you don't have to try to hard to stay on the diet. Why else would you post this?)

It can be hard with all that processed food that our brains are designed to be drawn to.

For me I avoid sweets and grain based foods and try to stay busy.

Doesn't always work though..

I'm doing this for my health so I only have a tiny cheat oonce every couple months. A bowl of gluten free cereal. with full fat coconut milk and raw honey and cinammon. To me such a rare treat is perfectly acceptable.
