I got the wild boar salami at my local co-op, Common Ground in Urbana, IL. It was really good! I don't think it is local to here though. I also don't have the wrapper anymore to look at where it is from.

Same here. If I were cooking the holiday dinner myself, I'd be pretty Primal compliant and I'd love it. But my mother is the cook, and it won't kill me to eat her delicious sage stuffing twice a year. I say no to the leftovers and no to the other gluten and seed oil filled stuff, so I'm okay with the stuffing and the discomfort that will follow.

Yeah, I ended up getting a peppermint mocha and did not feel a thing no digestive upset or anything, def worth it :) I think for those who've been on this diet for a while have really improved their digestive health to the point where once in a very rare while we can easily tolerate these "cheats" without any harm to our well-being.

I'll be eating whatever my family serves, enjoying it, indulging, taking names and not looking back. It'll suck, it'll hurt, and I'll pay for it for a few days, but I'm not the cook today. I'll be surrounded with love, gifts, and family so it's not about me.

There are things I can say no to and food I don't need to eat but it'll be a good reminder of why days like this aren't every day.

My parents flew in and hauled a home made pound cake all the way from Oregon with them. It is awesome and there was no way I was going to turn down a piece. I have not been cheating much at all but there is no way I was not going to indulge in a piece. With that, I have to say that other than gaining a few pounds temporarily, I rarely suffer any consequences from cheating if it is decent quality. I have no idea what a Big Mac would do because I would not choose to cheat that way. I cheat with smaller quantities of really good stuff.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Not a chance. Paleo isn't a "diet" for me, to jump on and off for whatever reason -- it's just how I eat now. That said, I have a spectacular Yuletide meal in the works and will enjoy the holiday as I always do!
