I heard through the grapevine that some NYC paleos have acquired miracle fruit. Apparently it makes lemon= deliciously sweet. So basically you can make stuff and "sweeten" it with lemon and it tastes great. I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds interesting.

Have you?

Suggestion: include link to wiki on the subject. I'd never heard of this before. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_fruit

I bought a package of them in tablet form. Works very well, and makes a pickle or sauerkraut taste like candy. Seriously. Careful with the lemons, the acid can still mess up your mouth and make it sore afterward.

Yep I use 2 tablets a week mostly for breakfast with fruits. But since I also sell them that is logical. But yep miracle fruit (my site) works!

From this NY Times article, a link to a gentleman who hosts parties with the berries and sells them as well.

I have some of this miracle fruit that I got from thinkgeek a while ago. I have yet to try it but perhaps this is the perfect opportunity for an experiment! Any ideas? What could I put lemon on that I would want to sweeten?
