Ready to eat carrots as nutritious? (vitamin loss with pre-peeled, washed?)

Being the lazy caveman that I am, I purchased some already peeled & washed & ready-to-eat carrots at the supermarket.

1) Are peeled/pre-washed & ready to go as nutritious (from a vitamin loss perspective)? I don't have the packaging in front of me but I think there's citric acid or something to keep them from degrading. If so, does this stretch the shelf life, but perhaps not really protect from vitamin loss?

2) I ended up microwaving the carrots for 6 minutes, blending it in my vitamix for consumption 8 hours later (while at work). Did I loose lots more of the nutrition by doing that, than by having them pre-peeled?

Just curious, Thanks,

Mike
