Obviously my "safe carbs" are only berries and carrots, any suggestions?

I almost only have berries and carrots as my carb sources. I eat a ridiculous amount of carrots every day. The reason is that I feel I can digest these carbs sources good, and also my skin doesnt break out from them. I have tried sweet potatoes, but I feel my skin is breaking out after I`ve eaten them because of the high carb content. A lot of vegetables my stomach just cant handle , typically foodmaps vegetables. Anyone who has any suggestions for other carbs sources I might handle? Do you think eating a lot of carrots everyday can be unhealthy in any way?

I eat a ton of sweet potato and this doesn't happen to me. Although it could be because I already have a darker complexion.

People who eat lots of carrots turn orange. No kidding, your skin acquires an orange color from all the carotene that you're eating (yes, you can google it up).

If you can handle carrots what about other root vegetables -- parsnips, turnips, things like that? Also what about white rice -- one of the most inoffensive sources of carbs?

I've never heard of people breaking out because of "carbs". It would be in response to a particular anti-nutrient or compound, no? In any case, white rice is pretty innocuous. In more strictly paleo options, you have very high carb content in grapefruit, bananas, dates (my favourite), and dried cranberries and raisins.

Bananas, pumpkins, nightshades and grapes are properly considered berries and appear FODMAPs-approved
