I am 19 years old with moderate acne and poor digestion. ( type 1 on bristol stool chart but not hard to pass.)
Recently i started reading about the GAPS protocol and decided to cut out potatoes and white rice which have been a staple food in my diet. Is this actually goign to help me? Do carbs really cause disturbances in the gut and are they necessary to cut out when attempting to heal it?
I feel liek i need carbs.. My preferred eating schedule would be a big meal late morning of things like meat eggs bone broth vegetables organ meat CLO and only carbs potato sweet potato rice etc. following my workout around 5pm. Obviously i cant eat liek this if im not eating potatoes and rice.
I really dont know what to do :/ please help...

GAPS actually doesn't limit carbs completely. Just the type of carbs. So eat some fruit....

ACNE is one of the things that clears up on GAPS. But...
Cutting out potatoes and white rice is not all there is to GAPS. You need to introduce the healing foods - broths, animal fats, coconut oil, sauerkraut, 24-hour yogurt, etc. ALL STARCHES and most sugars must be cut out - bread, pasta, pizza, cakes, cookies (anything made with wheat flour), potatoes, sweet potatoes, most beans except Navy and green beans, etc. Look at GAPSdiet.com for all the details.
A lot of people do "Full GAPS" without doing the Intro and find that they heal well on that. It's a version of Paleo.
