I went very low carb and my weight loss stagnated for a few weeks. I added back in sweet potatoes and more fruits such as bananas, peaches, cherries and pineapples in the morning and my weight loss started up again. So far after one week on slightly higher carbs I've lost 2 pounds.
I started off on a very low carb diet and lost around 30 pounds but have since upped my carb intake and am still losing weight and body fat but at a slightly lower speed!I find high protein and medium/low carb combo works best when mixed with good exercise :)
I went from a cyclical ketogenic paleo diet to having 200-300 grams of carbs every day and I went from 4 abs to 6 (5'9" 180lbs 19 y.o.). I am extremely active and was nut eating enough carbs to support that activity. I've only gone low carb maybe 2 days in the last 2 months and I am leaner and stronger than I have ever been. Eat to support your activity. If you are sedentary, you don't really need carbs. If you are doing intense sport training or crossfitting, you are going to need some serious carbs to support that.
