Thats basically it. We all know, add fat, lower the glycemic index of any carb. Thats why for some crazy reason, ice cream sugars are absorbed slower than starch in white bread (ie lower gi). How/why does this happen?
I have been tracking my macronutrients via con-o-meter. I am shooting for a ratio of 15:20:65(carbs:protein:fat). I can't seem to get my ratio of fat above my ratio of protein. Any suggestions?

Excess carbs can interfere with wound healing--ask any one legged diabetic. Consider what you ate WITH those carbs, maybe something lacking in your diet, or just a coincidence of time.
