I believe it is because carbs raise your insulin levels which promotes fat storage. Thus if you don't have much fat in your blood, it cannot be stored in fat cells.
Does anybody know if carb-backloading post-workout for muscle gain only works if you are keto the rest of the time, or can it still have benefits at around 150 grams of carbs per day, i.e. more of a "maintenance" daily carb intake?

You don't have Dawn phenomenon, your blood sugars are completely normal. Blood glucose spikes due to the Dawn phenomenon are perhaps an order of magnitude higher than what you're experiencing. As to your question about higher morning blood... (more)

All in the title. Do you keep it paleo, or go the Kiefer route? I personally do some raw goat's milk with grass-fed whey and a big handful of dates... then about an hour later a sweet potato with honey and a big portion of meat.
