SIBO and Candida rough facial skin

I have recently been diagnosed with SIBO and Candida. I am working with my DO and a Nutritionist. My protocol has just begun. I have had symptoms for over 3 years

About a year ago I noticed that my face seemed abnormally textural and rough. While I could/can eliminate this by rigorously exfoliating, it comes back by the next day. It almost seems like something is growing on my skin. The tiny hairs around my lips can seem stiff and almost barbed.

My facial skin has also changed significantly in appearance. As though I am aging in rapid speed. Now I stay out of the sun and use sunscreen daily as a precaution. I have always taken good care of my skin. So this has been rather concerning to me.

I haven't received or found any confirmation that this issue is related to SIBO or Candida either from my specialists or the internet.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue or know anywhere I can find some enlightenment?
