Anyone read “Anticancer”?

I just stumbled across William Li's TED Talk, Can we eat to starve cancer?, which is about the role angiogenesis plays in cancer (and perhaps obesity).

Unfortunately, non-epidemiological evidence for Li's dietary suggestions seems rather scarce. Does anyone have any thoughts, links, or additional information on the subject?
