Should I retrieve my vitamin E from the trash ?

Saturday Oct 29, 2011 (foodconsumer.org) -- Breast cancer patients should take vitamin C and E supplements and avoid use of combination carotenoids, a new study in the Sept 2011 issue of Cancer suggests.

The study shows that breast cancer patients who frequently used vitamin C and vitamin E were almost 30 percent less likely to have recurrence of breast cancer and die from all causes.

I like Gersons daughter (Charlotte Gerson) point about this - current agriculture needs so many pesticides because we made the soil so poor that plants can't defend themselves on their own any more.

LOL Korion. Yes, E is better from plants, I agree. However, like all vitamins and minerals, plant production depends on soil and soil is poor nowdays...

This whole E debate was contrived by the vitamin manufacturers to get us to throw out all our E and buy more a week later!

Well that recent controversy was about an increased risk of prostate cancer.

I should expect that none of the female breast cancer patients in this study had a prostate gland.
