How many calories am i consuming?

Guys i am just curious as to how many calories i am ingesting. I never thought i would say this, but i am actually quite satiated with only 2 meals a day. Apart for the chocolate cravings, i am really full with just two meals. In between i have a few slices of bacon and even a few raw button mushrooms. My two main meals are an omelette that consists of 1 onion diced, 6 eggs, and 5 strips of bacon diced. My next meal is basically 3 to 4 large chicken breasts that weigh roughly 320 grams each.

Thanx for any feed back guys. You have all been, and continue to be so helpful :-)

Most stuff I've read suggests eating more often. Robb Wolf's book covers this. When I've done everything else the same, and ONLY eliminated the snacks, my weight loss has slowed markedly. My snacks are simple, carrots and peanut butter, leftovers, or (when I can afford it, as it's expensive in Australia) some jerky.

As for the 'eat within 30mins of waking', that's from Tim Ferriss' '4 Hour Body' One of his principle fat burning tips is to eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. he says this is critical as it starts your day off with the right fat burning hormones.

Beefwalker, the science that you speak of is Broscience as recently discussed my Mark Sisson. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/how-many-calories-does-muscle-really-burn-and-why-its-not-about-calories-anyway/ both of your suggetions (eating 5 times and eating first thing) have been talked about and disproved many time. http://www.leangains.com/

I have not seen this science. In fact, my reading has suggested the opposite.

I'm coming up with 2500-3000 calories depending on whether you are eating the chicken skin or not. Try tracking on fitday or any of the other sites available. Still your carbs are very low and that keeps hunger at bay. I agree with magnesium and/or l-glutamine for cravings.

I do the same thing and I'm always paranoid I'm not eating enough. I track my food intake and end up with between 500 and 1000 cals a day, but can't force myself to eat more. Interested to see what people will say here.

Where did you find this science? Is it biased for kcal intake? I would really like to see it!

Leptin reset diets say to stick to 3 meals per day with zero snacking. Dr. K. can jump in here and give more info if he so chooses but I'm pretty sure there's some science behind the reasoning for only 3 meals a day being preferred.

Take some magnesium and see if that fixes your chocolate cravings. It should.

If you want to check your calories, you can use either http://fitday.com/ or http://cronometer.com/ Both have free versions that you can plug your food into, and then get stats on calories, nutrients, macronutrient proportions, etc.

If you're adding the bacon to your eggs while it's raw, or using its fat to cook your eggs, you're easily consuming about 300 calories from the bacon alone, plus the eggs and onion, to total about 800 calories for your breakfast.

Your chicken is about 1150 calories for about 1000g raw chicken (or 1460 calories for approximately 1300g of chicken), and if you're using fat to cook it, then it'll be higher.

Your snack of bacon and mushrooms can be anywhere between 150-225 calories.

I estimate your calories to be around 2250-2500-ish. If you eat chocolate, depending on how much you consume, you can tack on another couple hundred calories to it.

I got these estimates using CRON-O-Meter, by the way. I use it myself to keep track of my numbers. It's freeware, and it's pretty awesome. :)

Im gonna assume that each of your meals are 700ish calories, so a total of about 1500-1700 calories a day. but 6 eggs seems like a lot and eggs tend to be filling.

It all sounds fine to me, but most of the science says you'll get better results from your metabolism if you eat 5 times a day. (Three meals and two snacks). Also, it'll help a lot make sure you eat within 30mins of waking.
