Goiterogens in Raw Cabbage

I like raw cabbage because it is one of the few crunchy foods I have found on the paleo diet. I use raw cabbage as chips with salsa as a low calorie but filling snack.

However, I am wondering how much of an actual concern goiterogens in cabbage are. I am eating it raw so cooking wouldn't reduce them. Is it an actual concern, or is only something that people with thyroid problems should be worried about?

My take: no, don't be worried. Like anything, just don't eat it 3 times a day for 50 years. We used to think microwave popcorn was completely safe until a man did exactly that and developed a weird cancer.
