almond butter is a good source of selenium and other minerals but are the PUFAs a concern? i eat a couple tablespoons a day with my eggs and blueberries for breakfast.

This answer has absolutely nothing to do with whether almond butter is a healthy addition to his diet.

I'm thinking the context of the rest of your diet will make the difference on this, including how much almond butter.

It certainly won't kill you, but almond butter is extremely high in Omega-6 and is generally not considered a very good source of selenium (perhaps you were thinking of brazil nuts?). Another potential consideration is the fact that nut butters are particularly high-reward foods that for many can foster overeating.

There are certainly many worse things you could be doing for your health, but if you really want to dial in your diet, I'd skip the nut butters altogether.

It really depends on the person. Nuts are never necessary. Whatever nutrients they have that you need are present in other foods as well.

My best tip is to do interval training at least 2 or 3 times a week -- whatever your exercise, boost your speed or intensity for 30-60 seconds (and work up to 2 - 3 minutes). Speeds up your metabolism.

Oops--I just saw that I gave this tip earlier. I guess I have no more tips! :)
