For those who eat butter--How much butter do you go through in 1 week? How much per day? I love butter (can't eat coconut anything) --I find myself taking spoonfuls at a time -YUCK! Is that too much?

black coffee. it is sooo good.. and the better the butter, the better the taste. I recommend Kerry Gold unsalted. Let me know what you think!

Butter in coffee...sounds amazing. Black coffee? Or with cream as well? Must try this!

I've eaten an entire 8 oz of kerrygold in the past 3 days. I've been slicing off small pieces and eating it straight. Omgz.

I think Seth Roberts eats half a stick for breakfast... My cat can eat quite a bit of butter. We probably do 1-2 pounds a week for a family of four. I also use coconut oil, mac oil, lard, ghee and my wife likes olive oil - must be the Italian in her.

I put about a tablespoon a day into my coffee and I might cook with it every other day. I try not to consume too much, but it does make EVERYTHING taste soo much better!!

THEN (2011): I try to vary my diet as much as I can, so only use 2-3 tbsp of butter per week. Similar amounts of olive oil. Maybe a little more coconut oil (since I use that for cooking). Most of my fat comes from animal protein sources.

NOW (2014): Added fat is 2:1 olive oil to butter. Probably half a liter of olive oil a week, 1/3 to 1/2 of a Kerrygold a week. I do not touch coconut oil anymore (unless it's in coconut milk). Beef fat is a wonderful thing, reuse it all the time. Bacon not too often, but bacon fat is good too.

I also was interested in this question as i like butter so much. I read that 50 gramms/day is enough, more - bad.

Not very much, but that's because I purposely vary my fat sources - about 1/3rd of my cooking is with butter, 1/3rd with coconut oil, and 1/3rd with beef fat.

I probably eat close to 3 pounds of butter a week. Not sure if I'm overdoing it, but I don't feel any ill effects as of yet.

About 8 oz. or less per week, so 1/2 pound (household of 2). I eat probably anywhere from 2 - 5 tablespoons (straight) a day.

Currently as little as possible. That means, 2-5 times a week for frying small fish. Seems to spike my cholesterol too much. Will see, trying to limit it as much as possible, to get tested in 3 months again.

I go through a full package of Kerrygold every 4-7 days, depending on how much I'm craving it. Most of it is eaten straight out of the package, but occasionally I'll pan-fry steak in it.

As much as you feel necessary if it is GRASSFED, limited (like 1 stick a week) if it isn't.
