Sour Bulletproof Coffee

I'm trying out the bulletproof coffee, straight from the source. I've read that some have experienced a sour aftertaste after making BPC & I find myself agreeing. I like my Starbucks coffee drinks (of course they are sweet & deliciously unhealthy!), but after reading how BPC was a life-changer and tastes amazing, I thought I'd experiment! Well, I was disappointed to say the least. I don't mind not adding cream or sugar, but I can't stand the sour/bitter taste I get😣 I bought a French press, Bulletproof brand ground beans, Kerrygold grass-fed unsalted butter & Bulletproof brand MCT oil. I also followed the recipe & directions EXACTLY, as recommended. Where am I going wrong?? Apart from it being the very first time using the French press method & maybe brewing too long or not long enough, I'm lost as to what I could be doing wrong?! I use 2.5 TBS ground BCP coffee to 8oz boiled filtered water, 1 TBS Kerrygold butter, 1 TBS MCT oil & blend it all up in my Vitamix. Is it the already ground coffee vs whole beans that makes a difference?! Help!
