Broken bones (toe)?

So I broke my toe this weekend. I iced it, elevated it, rested it and ace bandaged it. I took opoids and antiinflammatories. I went to the doctor today, had it x rayed, toe nail drained, cleaned, bandadged and wood shoed (they gave me a non flex shoe to walk with). But what would paleo man have done? What are some paleo preventatives or treatments that one could do in conjunction with modern medical procedures?

Eat bones perhaps.. Lol.

Slow cooked duck leg/thighs on low for 6-9 hours are lovely, the bones aren't too soft but fully munchable. I usually blend the skin into a soup with the broth, separate the meat and season it, but i start eating bones right away as i can't help myself, i very quickly know when i've had enough of them though. Blending soft bones into broth is also a lovely way of eating them.

The bones I find are easy to eat are duck bones from the chest and back - the flat ones mostly - after roasting, carving, then boiling the carcass for soup. I'll take any excuse to eat duck though. Get well!

Did you lose your appetite? If so, then fast, and rest.

If hungry then i think bone broth and munching on some soft bones wouldn't actually be a bad shout.

Have a speedy recovery...
