So I've heard cloves work as a natural breath mint, anything else too?

Also chewing parsley is supposed to work, especially for garlic breath. I don't remember where I heard this. Anyway, I sometimes get unpleasant breath, and chewing gum or a breath mint works, but of course these things have harmful ingredients. I'm test-driving cloves and parsley, but especially cloves because you can carry them around really easily and it's supposedly a traditional Indian thing to chew them. So anything else? I'd like to have a lot of options, instead of chewing cloves all day.

Most of the Indian restaurants serve fennel seeds as a complimentary mouth freshener. In my opinion it's great for getting rid of a lingering after taste but doesn't last as long as a clove/mint/cardamom for a breath freshener.

I swallow the whole thing, though just the seeds is equally effective. I like chewing so the husk gives me that little bit extra to do!

I carry around a small bottle of peppermint or spearmint essential oil with me. Just a few dabs on the tongue gives you more of a minty zing than any Altoid could, and it's antimicrobial. #goodstuff

Do you chew just the seeds of the cardamom, or also the husk? If also the husk, do you chew it and spit it out, or do you swallow the whole thing? Thanks!

I prefer chewing cardamoms to cloves. I gave up smoking long back and chewing sugar free gum became the new annoying habit.I swapped it for cardamom (and sometimes clove) post going primal.
