More fat = increased breast size?

Answered on August 19, 2014

I have read a few posts now from people who have experienced increased breast size from Paleo. At 32 G bra size this is not something I am interested in at all.

Does eating fat increase breast size???

I am desperate to decrease the size and weight of them actually. Wearing 2 or 3 sports bras to crossfit isn't fun and makes running dreadful. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I totally agree that fat in the diet does not equal fat on body, but I've been eating ketogenic and even though fat seems to be melting off the rest of me, my boobs have grown!

This thread needs some pictures. How do you even use two bras? Does the cleavage create a gravitational pull than more than normal?

@Joy.. thanks. This does make sense. I am really hoping crossfit and fat loss makes a difference.

No, I do not think so. Breasts have a lot of fat so if you lose fat it will leave your breasts as well. It definitely won't move from your legs to your breasts but if you work out and are trying to build muscle they might get a bit bigger, I think this is more noticeable with smaller breasts though. In your case, I don't think the change would be noticeable.

I didn't blink an eye at the last part of this original comment. I am so used to it.. its expected at this point. Still doesn't help my situation. or the others who have posted the same thing? I was hoping it was a matter of " what goes up must come down" but appears to be much more complicated that that.

In these situations, I feel that winky faces are never a good idea.

Unfortunately not. Although large breasts are made up principally of fat, most Paleo followers reject the lipid hypothesis, ie: "fat in your mouth does not equal fat on your boobies".

If you eat an excess of fat calories (especially when combined with some carbohydrate calories) you'll put on body fat, but you can't guarentee how that fat will be distributed, other than it'll go where you want it least.

Good luck in your endeavours though. I'm all for increased breast size ;)

My boobs have gone down a bit! Not as much as I would have wanted, but I've lost weight in other areas (belly, butt & thighs).

I'm a 34H and experiencing the same thing...fat loss elsewhere first. Though I think they are starting to shrink just not as quickly.

I noticed the same thing Veriria did. I lost maybe a bit in my bust area and more from everywhere else. I feel your pain. I'm a 36 DD/F.

The only thing that makes my boobs bigger (and I mean significantly bigger) are avocados. If I don't eat an avocado every day, they get smaller.

I have tried pretty much ODing for weeks at a time on heavy cream, butter, red meat, you name it, and nothing has prevented the ladies from shrinking... Except avocados. I might be an exception, but that's what my experience has been.

Mine grew, but I am still in my very early twenties and probably have some issues associated with estrogen dominance. Went up 1 1/2 cup sizes, but only lost about 5 lbs (weight loss was not my goal). I think your hormone levels + age + amount of weight lost could make a big difference!

I wouldn't worry about gaining breast fat when eating this way! I went from a DD to a D cup...almost at a C cup, but I opt to go lightly padded with the D as I miss the fullness!! Of course this was with 30lbs weight loss.

Nope, my ladies are the same size they have been for the past five years or so. (I had the body of a 12 year old boy until I was about 23. Yeah, super late bloomer.) I haven't gained or lost any weight, but I am also not trying to as I'm satisfied with my overall size and breast size, so that's a good thing. If you lose weight overall, you may see a bit of a decrease in your breast size.

I think mine have gotten a bit smaller overall, but yeah, I feel your pain. I'm hoping they'll shrink like the rest of me is, given enough time.
