One or the other or both? Avocado or nut based cereal in the morning?

I am new to Paleo and have been looking up a number of breakfast recipe's off the internet, which have worked out really well. However, for the last week I have been chopping up nuts and eating it like cereal with almond milk for breakfast, as well as one whole avocado. I know both are high in Omega-3 fats, but is eating both of these a staple in the morning too much? I quickly fall into routines, so unless I learn that this is overkill, I will likely continue this as my staple breakfast on a daily basis.

The mix of nuts is about 1/4 cup of Walnuts, 2 Tbsp Almonds, 1 Tbsp Macadamia nuts, 1 Tbsp, almond milk and a touch pure grade-b maple syrup.

I'm tall and have always been on the leaner side. I'd be interested in leaning out a little bit more, but definitely didn't go Paleo in order to lose weight, so much as for the health benefits.

Correction: nuts and avocado are quite low in omega 3 fats. They are actually composed more of monounsaturated and omega-6 fats.

Now, to answer the question, definitely one or the other. However, just eating fat for breakfast is not very substantial. A more balanced breakfast might look something more along the lines of a soft boiled egg, a serving of fruit, and a handful of almonds.

Hope that helps you out some!

That sounds like a lot of nuts! How about a hard-boiled egg, some chopped apples and berries with some slivered almonds and coconut milk on top?

Skip breakfast and you won't have to decide.

Your title made me envision an avocado-based cereal. Yuck.
