Logistics for packing Paleo meals for the road?

Hello all,

I've been eating paleo mainly for 2 years, and the past month went on a strictly paleo diet.

The biggest problem I faced is what to eat when I don't have access to a skillet or oven.

I'm typically outside of the house from 6am to noon or 1pm, and usually I would just wait till 1pm to eat a real meal- this is bad.

Does anyone have any suggestions for paleo meals that could be eaten cold, and would provide a good amount of proteins and fats (and carbs I suppose :) )

Typically I would just pack berries or trail mix, but looking for more ideas...

Many thanks,

Eric

Hard boiled eggs are easy and satisfying and great to make ahead.  Nuts/seeds and a piece of fruit work in a pinch.  Those are my go-tos ...

Thanks, might start boiling some eggs... I've been thinking of making my own trailmix too, going to mix some up soon. Many thanks

Smoked fish and meats would be my first recommendation, followed by canned fish and meats. If you can find pemmican that would also be good, but I don't have a source.

Pemmican... just looked up what it is and wow... sounds like a legit source of portable calories. I'll keep an eye out for that and might consider making my own. Thank you
