Hi Paleo Friends,

I am running out of ideas for breakfast! I am allergic to both eggs and whey and I am having trouble figuring out how to get a protein packed breakfast. I can't stomach eating chicken for bfast.... :( ... Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have been eating fruit and nuts and I don't find it satiating.

this sounds like a good idea, sage and thyme almost make it a breakfast sausage flavoring.

I'm into either fish, chicken or ground meats for breakfasts, with veg and maybe a slice of bacon or avocado. By ground meats I mean ground-up lamb, beef, elk, bison, turkey or chicken. The white meats, with some sage and thyme in them are kinda like having scrambled eggs for breakfast. Just mild and easy. I'll often eat them over spaghetti squash. They are simple and fast to cook and you can make big batches for the week.

Steak, it's what's for breakfast.

Trust me, you'll feel like a god, and might not even get hungry again until dinner.

You could try making a vegetable smoothy for breakfast.

I'm not allergic to whey so I often put a couple of scoops of whey protein powder in but there's plenty of other protein powder options out there such as hemp (http://bit.ly/133LYNA) or a vegan blend (http://bit.ly/11Be4wM).

You can then add anything else you want. I normally just use a little water or coconut milk, some frozen fruit, a banana, a handful of kale and spinich, sweet peppers, ginger, lime and of course a big spoonful of coconut oil. It's lovely and refreshing in the morning and not too heavy.

This isn't really protein packed but maybe with a nut butter on top. It is a pancake recipe I made this weekend and topped with berries. I freeze the leftovers and toast one for breakfast on the days when I press snooze too many times.

1 cup almond flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1-1/4 coconut milk 3/4 cup mashed cooked sweet potato or acron squash 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup Coconut oil for cooking

Bacon and sausages? Heard there are some pretty decent paleo-friendly brands out there. If you want to be hardworking and try making your own sausages, this site explains it well (it's about making sausages for pizza though, so if that's your weakness you may want to skip it):

Or try making bone broth and adding some meaty cuts the night before, a large pot going on can provide breakfast for days and you still get enough left over for other uses.

I don't have an egg allergy but I do sometimes get tired of eating eggs for breakfast every day, even when I cook them in different ways. When that happens I make the sausage and sweet potato hash from Everyday Paleo ....here ya go http://volneywillettmd.com/breakfast/2012/1/8/karinas-sausage-hash.html. I also enjoy turkey patties with fresh fruit, or a coconut milk smoothie.
