Yesterday, I tried doing a bone broth fast. With a beef bone broth that I had conjured up using bones from a local hannaford. After ingesting the broth in the morning I grew very fatigued and mentally just out of it. Not a pleasurable experience. Any other suggestions to healing a gut?

I have not been eating any grains, sugars, nightshade veggies, fruit, etc.

I have been intaking probiotics, veggies, lean meat, sweet potatoes, nuts,

I recently added the probiotic culturelle to my diet and it really seems to be helping with the symptoms of leaky gut. I'm really excited about it, finally getting some hope that I will eventually be cured.

and thanks to you aswell ourborooss, I am new to the site and didn't see your answer. Yes I have been making bone broths for about 2 weeks now and turning them into soup. From my memory of consuming them. It always seems after I am negatively affected mentally via brain fog or anxiety, fatigue. Thank you for your input

Dan thank you for replying to my question. Normally I would agree with you and say your right. But it was more than just fatigue. I had a lot of brain fog and mood swings like my stomach was aggravated?

It's cuz you're doing a fast. If you're depriving yourself of calories, you're bound to feel tired.

Bone broth is rich in the amino acid arginine, which can make you quite tired.

Alternatively, it could be the large amount of highly bioavailable magnesium taken on an empty stomach.

Can you speak more to what type of fatigue it was?
