Question for the females ( About breasts)

Answered on August 19, 2014
Created April 17, 2012 at 5:34 AM

I don't intend for this to be innapropriate but my question is, have any of you females felt your breasts after eating paleo and has the feeling/texture/firmness (dont know how to explain it) changed? I just realized it has with mine. It feels more "better" the only way I can describe it. A little Sidenote: When I was younger I sometimes had tender breasts (when I pushed down it might hurt a little) but that went away after I was eating raw vegan and definitely has not comeback after paleo.

How come when I lose weight, my boobs are the FIRST things to get smaller? Not the thighs, not the gut or hips... *Sigh.*

it's "pics or GTFO" , but I must second that, it's a principle.

I wish I COULD lose some boobie mass! I went from a 38+ D (or DD, depending on brands, though someone else said I should technically be wearing a DDD) to a 36 D. I fit into some pretty old bras back from when I was 140-ish, so I'm happy about that at least. But really, I'd like to have smaller breasticles! I hope once I start working out (been paleo or primal sing August) that they'll go down in size even more XD

they are for detoxing xenoestrogens and regaining hormone balance. I take one 200mg of DIM and one 500mg of calcium d glucarate, usually daily. initially i was taking a few times that for the detox. no weird side effects, although my pee would be extra vibrant when taking them........... good luck! i'd look into it, they have helped me out a bunch !

Dr. Brownstein has cured fibrocystic breasts and notes that iodine is found most in thyroid and reproductive organs (especially breasts for breastmilk) in women. Breast tenderness could be a sign of low iodine. Recommended reading: Iodine: Why you need it, Why you can't live without it by Dr. David Brownstein, MD Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? What are those supplements for? What is the recommended dose? I'm about to start a Whole 30, and maybe it would be helpful!

Well after recovering from an eating disorder when my boobs were just like little anthills, my boobs are now like 20x fuller and rounder. I don't think it would hurt if they were a little bigger. Come on boobies, grow! And I like massaging them. Why? Because I can.

(Waiting for all the boys to say "pics or it didn't happen.")

Yes: I had a lump in one breast and very sinewy tissue. For the lump I was having to go for tests every 3 months at the gyno,. As of 8 months ago, I was given the okay to stop these check-ups: my lump disappeared and my boobs feel completely different: they are soft, normally textured. The gyno is amazed, and I am sooooo thankful.

Mine are larger for sure (up to a full C from a B!), but there is still tenderness during PMS (and yes, I took pregnancy tests, it's all good). I'm not sure if that's just because they are bigger, so they are more sensitive? Plus they get MEGA swollen during PMS, which I never used to get- they literally go from normal to can't-stuff-them-into-a-bra-without-looking-unseemly. Every month at the same time the BF/friends/strangers begin to comment. It's not terrible or anything, just a little sore and inconvenient to have to have two different sports bras. Anyone else get this?

I agree with the other girls here - after 6 months of paleo my breast looks different - in a better way - than before (unfortunately not really bigger but fuller - does that make sense? lol).

In general my whole body changed since I have started eating paleo and changing my workouts, so I guess it is normal that your breast also changes - it is part of your body like everything else.

I also noticed that my cellulite is much better than before. In the past I used lotions, supplements and many other things to get rid of it - yessss, sadly enough I know it won't disappear, but hope springs eternal :)

definitely noticed a positive change in mine after doing a whole30 and especially after supplementing with DIM and calcium d glucarate- thinking the change came from unloading bad estrogen.

Well I kind of have a roundabout explanation. I was put on paleo by my doctor due to inflammation likened to Lupus and metabolic syndrome. The way I understand it is, the foods you eat when you're not on paleo are so genetically modified, messed with and in general not healthy for your body, that they can mess with your hormones. Either by way of there being funky stuff in the food, or by the response your body has to a food that you should be avoiding (grains like wheat). I'm not surprised at all if you have noticed a difference in your breasts. Paleo can change your whole body and mind, why should your boobs be excluded?

I haven't noticed a change in shape, firmness or texture as of yet (only a month in) but this time, on my monthly cycle, I haven't had the standard breast tenderness and swelling like I used too!

I think mine have a better texture. Definitely have not had the tenderness issues.

I'm actually hoping for a drastic reduction in the size. I'm wearing 36 G right now...the left could actually use an H but we know that's not an option. Going to wait another year on Paleo and see what type of reduction I'll need.

You B-C cups shouldn't be wanting anything bigger. Get some push up bras or something. The extra weight is awful on your shoulders and neck. They get in your way...can't golf. Have to special order everything in the bra category. And it limits the types of clothing you can wear.

Before paleo, my breasts would swell nearly a full cup size worth for about a week before the onset of my period. They'd be sore at that time as well. Now they never swell and remain at a smaller size. Boo. I kind of saw that as the one perk to PMS.

For an old lady my boobs are holding their own. Which on the one hand surprises me, because they could be going south, but on the other hand it doesn't, because nobody else is.

I attribute it all to paleo.

Mine have stopped being tender altogether, but that's only because I stopped wearing a bra. They were hurting even when I wasn't wearing one!

Unfortunately, they've remained small-- A-cups :(
