If I'm healthy, should I get blood tests?

Are there any compelling reasons that I should get my blood tests?

I've been eating Paleo on and off for a couple of years and consistently now for ~4 months and I'm feeling really good. I don't expect my diet to change dramatically any time soon, I'm a stable weight and I exercise pretty well.

I have some minor abdominal discomfort every now and again, but I can nearly always pin it on something I ate the day before, or where I had a less strict Paleo day (e.g. a bit of potatoes, tomatoes, or oats). Other than that, no major health issues.

I'm feeling like if it ain't broke don't fix it, and also like once I know a number I might start over thinking it and make changes I don't really need to make. I just found this quote in another PH thread:

'???if the number is bad, eat healthy, and if the number is good, eat healthy???. What do you need the number for?'

If you are healthy right now, it is not a bad idea to get a baseline. If you encounter any health problems in the future, it may be helpful to see what changes happened from "healthy" to "health problems". It's your decision though.

+1 for getting a baseline.
